Through Law 27,828 (Official Gazette, October 13, 2026), the National Congress enacted amendments to the Cold Zone Regime and established new provisions regarding the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM), renewable energy sources, natural gas, and hydrocarbons. The law took effect on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
