Through Decree No. 697/2026 (Official Gazette, August 3, 2026), the National Executive Branch amended the regulations governing Law 18,284 and Decrees 815/1999 and 1812/1992, with the aim of reorganizing the National Food Control System, simplifying certain import and export procedures, and redefining the responsibilities of the Secretariat of Health Management and the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (SENASA).
