On November 14, 2022, Resolution 503/2022 of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development was published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic, approving the guidelines for the conversion plans of production processes that use mercury within the framework of mercury exemptions (Res. 299/2021).
This new resolution establishes the stages to be complied with regarding the approval, monitoring, follow-up and evaluation of the implementation of the conversion plans. It also establishes that the Secretariat of Environmental Control and Monitoring may request further information in order to evaluate and approve the conversion plans.
