Through Law 27,804 (Official Gazette, April 24, 2026), the National Congress enacted amendments to Law 26,639 on Minimum Standards for the Protection of Glaciers and the Periglacial Environment, replacing various articles related to the purpose of protection, the National Glacier Inventory, prohibited activities, environmental assessments, and competent authorities.
