Through Decree 1228/2026, published in the Official Gazette on October 20, 2026, the National Executive Branch amended the regulations governing the Labor Assistance Fund (FAL), which had been approved by Decree 408/2026 under the Labor Modernization Act No. 27,802.
The new regulation introduces two significant changes to the implementation of the system: it once again postpones its effective date and extends the grace period before the fund can meet its established obligations.
