On May 8, 2025, Provision 481/2025, issued by the Undersecretariat of Consumer Defense and Fair Trade, under the Ministry of Economy, was published in the Official Gazette.
Its purpose is to guarantee that consumers have clear, complete and accessible information on drug prices in pharmacies, promoting freedom of choice and market transparency. This obligation is framed within the duty of information provided for in Article 4° of Law No. 24,240 on Consumer Defense, the principles of Commercial Loyalty established in Article 1° of Decree 274/2019, as well as in Resolution 4/2025 of the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce and Joint Resolution 2/2025 of said Secretariat together with the Secretariat of Health Management of the Ministry of Health.
