IGJ: Relaxes the rules applicable to companies incorporated abroad

The General Inspectorate of Justice (“IGJ”) introduced substantial changes to the regime applicable to companies incorporated abroad, in accordance with Articles 118 and 123 of the General Companies Act (“LGS”). The new framework replaces much of the previous regulations and establishes a significantly more flexible and simplified regime for the registration and operation of foreign companies in the Argentine Republic.

General Resolution No. 4/2026 came into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette, that is, on May 27, 2026. The full text of General Resolution No. 4/2026 can be viewed here.
