By Resolution 21/2026 (Official Gazette, January 29, 2026), the NATIONAL ELECTRICITY REGULATORY AUTHORITY (ENRE) approved the update of the rate schedules applicable to customers of EMPRESA DISTRIBUIDORA SUR SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA (EDESUR S.A.), as part of the implementation of the Targeted Energy Subsidy (SEF) program established by Decree No. 943/2025. The measure is part of the process to restructure the national energy subsidy scheme, aimed at ensuring that vulnerable residential customers can access essential energy consumption through a more targeted subsidy system.
