The Ministry of Economy extends for the third time the expiration date of the exchange offer for restructuring public debt issued in foreign currency under foreign law

The Ministry of Economy, through Resolution No. 266/2020 published in the Official Gazette on June 2, 2020 (the “Resolution”), extends for the third time the expiration date of the exchange offer for restructuring public debt issued in foreign currency and under foreign law by the Republic of Argentina (the “Republic“), set forth in the prospectus supplement of the Republic dated on April 21, 2020 (the “Prospectus Supplement“) which expiration date had been extended until June 2, 2020 by the Resolution No. 243/2020 (the “Exchange Offer”).

Within the framework of the negotiations that the Republic is carrying out with certain bondholders in order to restore the sustainability of the public debt issued in foreign currency and under foreign law by the Republic and in accordance with the powers provided for in Decree No. 391/2020, the Ministry of Economy decided to extend the expiration date of the Exchange Offer until 5:00 p.m. (New York City time) on June 12, 2020.

The Resolution also provided that the announcement of the results and the settlement date of the Exchange Offer be extended until 15 and 18 June 2020, respectively.
