Through Decree 538/2025 (B.O. 05-08-2025), the National Executive Branch (PEN) amended Decree 815/1999, which regulates both the National Food Control System and the mechanisms for updating the Argentine Food Code (CAA). The measure dissolves the National Food Commission (CONAL) and reassigns its functions to the National Administration of Medicines, Food, and Medical Technology (ANMAT) and the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality (SENASA), with the aim of streamlining regulatory updates and optimizing control management.
