Marcela Lorenzo Villalba is a Partner of the Corporate Law and Capital Markets Area. She joined the firm in February 2023.
Her practice areas focus on mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, foreign investments, start-ups, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, crypto-assets, real estate law, corporate law and general corporate advice, matters in which she represents and advises local and foreign clients from different industries, including Fortune 500 companies.
Marcela is the Lead Partner of the German Desk of our firm and has represented a great variety of German international companies doing business in Argentina in the above-mentioned fields of law. She has continuous interaction developing networking and professional activities with several German international law firms and companies based in the European Union. She is an active member of the German Desk Committee and the Innovation Committee of the German Argentine Chamber of Commerce based in Argentina (AHK Argentina).
She is an enthusiastic follower and student of the renewable energy sector in Latin America and the European Union, which is consistent with her active participation as member of the Hydrogen Committee of the German Argentine Chamber of Commerce based in Argentina (AHK – Argentina) and the Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energy (“CADER”), where she is increasingly involved participating in numerous teams and professional initiatives in the renewable energy sector and real estate related matters.
She graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires with a law degree. She has also completed a Master’s Degree in “Law and Economics” at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, where she received the distinction of Best Average in “Mergers & Acquisitions”.
She was a member of the teaching career in Commercial Law at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires.
She is the author of several publications on Commercial and Corporate Law.
