Through Decree No. 59/2026 and with the stated purpose of alleviating the complex situation facing hydrocarbon production from conventional deposits, the National Executive Branch established a new export duty scheme for oil, reducing export duties on conventional crude oil to 0% when its base value is equal to or less than US$0.65 per barrel.
