IGJ: new requirements for the transformation of SAS companies

The General Inspection of Justice (“IGJ”) established a differentiated treatment for the transformation of simplified joint stock companies (SAS) registered before such agency. It also provided for a special optional procedure of book registration. It must be filed before the General Entry Desk of the IGJ and if there are no observations, it will be registered in five (5) administrative business days.

By means of General Resolution 6/2023 (the “Resolution”), the IGJ established a different procedure for the transformation of SAS that resolve to transform into any other type of company contemplated in the General Corporations Law No. 19,550 (“LGS”).
