Through Provision 753/2025 (B.O. 07-07-2025), the Undersecretary of Consumer Protection and Commercial Loyalty of the Ministry of Economy (“MECON”) repealed Resolution 9/2004 of the former Secretariat of Technical Coordination. The repealed regulation established contractual clauses considered abusive in prepaid medical services, mobile communications, and financial or banking services. The measure is part of the deregulation process promoted by Decree 70/2023 and Law 27,742, taking into account that there are currently specific regulations applicable to these sectors that provide for consumer protection.
