By means of Decree 2/2026 (Official Gazette 05/01/2026), the National Executive Branch approved the “Amending Agreement to the Farallón Negro Act,” signed on December 15, 2025, between the National Government, the Province of Catamarca, and the National University of Tucumán, and ordered the adaptation of Law 14,771 and its amendments to reflect the cessation of the National Government’s participation in the management and operation of Yacimientos Mineros de Agua de Dionisio (YMAD).
