Through Resolution 168/2026 (Official Gazette, July 27, 2026), the Energy Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy approved the start of the transition period for the concession granted to Hidroeléctrica Tucumán S.A. for the generation of electricity at the El Cadillal, Escaba, and Pueblo Viejo hydroelectric complexes. The measure stipulates that, once the concession expires on July 30, 2026, the company must continue to operate the facilities and fulfill the obligations set forth in the concession agreement until December 15, 2026, in order to ensure the continuity and safety of their operation.
