José María recently joined O’Farrell as a Senior Consulting Partner. He specializes in cross-border transactions, corporate structuring, international tax planning, and complex regulatory matters affecting both local and multinational clients.

His practice focuses on:

– Corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and international partnership structuring.

– Regulatory compliance, particularly Life Sciences, TMT, Agribusiness, and related industrial sectors.

– Tax and business planning for multinational entities entering or operating within Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and other Latin American jurisdictions.

– Strategic advisory on market entry, business development, and dispute resolution in cross-border contexts.

Education

José María earned his Law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1987. He is recognized since 1991 for his leadership as former founder and managing partner of Allonca Abogados, an international law firm boutique with offices in Buenos Aires and with liaison offices worldwide. At Allonca Abogados, he developed a network of high-profile business relationships and multi-jurisdictional legal strategies, serving both public and private sector clients.
