Juan Pablo Fratantoni is a Partner of the Corporate and Finance Law and Capital Markets Department. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, development of investments in energy, joint ventures, foreign investments and company law. He joined the firm in 2017
In 2000, he worked gratuitously at the National First Instance Court in Civil Matters No. 67 in and for the City of Buenos Aires.
Before joining the firm, he worked in several renowned law firms, including: Bouzat, Rosenkrantz y Asociados; Brons & Salas; and Leverone y Mihura Estrada, where he was a partner since 2011.
Mr. Fratantoni gives advice to domestic and international companies within the energy, retail and technology industries, among others, on a wide range of business transactions and corporate matters: drafting and negotiation of civil and commercial agreements, provision of services, partnership agreements, shareholders’ agreements, construction and supply agreements, among others.
Mr. Fratantoni participated in several mergers and acquisitions, including the issue of shares representing 25% of the capital stock of a company engaged in the generation of power; the sale of a Liquefied Petroleum Gas business unit of a multinational company; the sale of owner companies of renewable power generation projects; the sale of a company within the logistics and port industry; the sale of a company engaged in the commercialization of personal care products; the sale of a leading company in the online hotel booking industry in Latin America, and in the process to have shares listed in the Toronto Stock Exchange of an Argentine mining company.
He has recently given advice to various clients on the negotiation of agreements for the construction, installation and operation of projects awarded within the RenovAR program framework, for more than 460 MW of installed capacity.
Mr. Fratantoni is a lawyer graduated from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and holds a Master’s Degree in Law from University of Illinois, at Urbana, where he graduated with honors. In addition, he took a post-graduate course at the University of Sydney, Australia
He has been awarded an International Certification in Compliance and Ethics by the Universidad del CEMA and The International Federation of Compliance Associations.
Within the academic area, he acted as a teacher assistant to the Civil and Commercial Agreements course at Universidad de Buenos Aires
